U. S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and other House members are ready to introduce legislation that would allow people to buy Viagra over the counter at their local pharmacies.

Sanders and others have already said they’ll introduce a law in the House that would allow anyone to purchase the drug at any cost from their local pharmacy. The lawmakers are still in the final week of their meeting to discuss the bill.
“We’re trying to get into the weeds to find a solution that works, and the best way to do that is by introducing legislation that’s actually bipartisan,” said Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Ga.).
“But that legislation will take up a big enough question to make it a pretty big question.”
Coburn has called the legislation “a big question” on Twitter and “unsubsidized”.
“If people don’t like it, let them buy it,” he said.
He said the legislation would also provide consumers with a right to choose what they get from their local pharmacies, as long as they’re purchasing only what they get from a pharmacy.
But he said that could mean a lot to those who would like to get Viagra for free, or who want to purchase it for less than what they get. That could mean a lot to consumers who are uninsured, or who have prescription drug insurance.
The Senate Health and Human Services Committee is currently considering a bill that would allow people to purchase the drug at any cost from their local pharmacies.
Sanders said that the Senate had no plans to pass this bill. “If it’s passed, we’ll be able to see if we can get it to the Senate Committee,” he said.
Sanders said that he would support the bill.
“I’m very proud of them,” said Sanders. “They’ve been here before. And they’ve been here for decades.”
